Internships, Co-op, CPT and OPT

...at the Center for Pharmaceutical Cleaning Innovation
CPCI™ is a cutting edge, research laboratory providing the Pharmaceutical, Biological, Medical Device, Nutraceutical and Cosmetics industries with innovative solutions to cleaning problems using state-of-the-art instrumentation including in-house developed technologies and methods. CPCI™ works with major US Pharmaceutical companies (e.g., Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genentech/Roche) and International Pharmaceutical companies (e.g., Actavis-Bulgaria, Novartis, Takeda Pharmaceuticals) as well as many smaller pharmaceutical organizations. Consequently, CPCI frequently has opportunities for Interns to participate in a variety of CPCI™ "in-house" projects or Industry sponsored projects to address technical questions.

CPCI™ frequently looks for candidates to help support our research operations. Internships occur over an approximately 3 - 6 month period at our Center for Pharmaceutical Cleaning Innovation (CPCI™) laboratory located in Hillsborough, NJ. The Intern will be expected to independently drive their assigned project to completion and present their progress at weekly Team meetings. All Internships have specific projects that should lead to publications and posters and even patents. Interns will be exposed to all research and operational projects in all areas of the business and will also be expected to actively participate in problem solving sessions.

All Interns are expected to embrace
CPCI™'s Company Culture and Lean Six Sigma philosophy. Finally, CPCI™ is a progressive company that lives its belief in providing a safe, rewarding and enjoyable experience for all of its associates.

Qualifications

In order to be eligible for these positions, candidates must have a strong science or engineering background, good analytical skills and excellent communication skills (oral and written). In addition, strong inter-personal skills are required for the frequently required teamwork. Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Minitab is helpful but not required.

Valuable Industry Experience

Working at CPCI™ will expose the selected Interns to typical Pharmaceutical industry practices through both in house training and project work. Experience at CPCI can easily and quickly lead to employment opportunities in Pharmaceutical and Biologics companies.

Publications and Posters

All Internships are "Ad Hoc"; meaning, there is something we are specifically after and want to accomplish. So a principle goal of all Internships is to answer a question, or solve a problem, that is significant enough to be published at the end of the Internship. We also support the creation and display of posters at conferences and competitions. Selected interns are expected to be able to write their own articles and create their own posters under the supervision of CPCI™.

Patents

Some of the projects at CPCI™are significant enough that they can lead to patents with potential business opportunities for the engineer or scientist who brings them to fruition. Enough said.
